A wonderful place to spend our 56th wedding anniversary!

We left the busy disorder of town and took a narrow road to a gate that opened up to what seemed like Eden in comparison—beautiful quiet grounds. We were greeted graciously, as we were everywhere in Tanzania.

Habiba, our pretty young hostess, went out of the way to make us comfortable. Naomi, the cook, prepared excellent meals—a mix of African and American foods. Last, but not least, Honest, was helpful in regards to electronics and anything else that required local expertise.

Comfortable Accommodations

I am very grateful to owner Honest Maranda and manager Neema for providing such a wonderful introduction to Tanzania.

I was part of a large family party which included a two-year-old, an eight-year-old, and a couple of us in our 70s. Malkia Trees Lodge has beautiful grounds, clean rooms, warm beds, hot showers, delicious food, and most importantly a kind, friendly, and helpful staff.

We truly had a wonderful experience at Malkia Trees lodge. Honest, the owner and Neema, the manager took care of everything for us.

From meals to helping us find a good safari, they are great hosts! Highly recommended!

1st Class Lodge

Malkia is an oasis in the middle of Arusha. Rooms were clean, warm and inviting. But what's special is the staff, all are friendly and accommodating.

Honest, the proprietor, went above and beyond to ensure our visit was 1st class. Naome prepared cuisine on par with any restaurant. And my sincerest thanks to Neema who, working double shifts, accepted and resolved all requests with a level of professionalism that I've rarely experienced in any travels.

These folks made me and my daughters' trip to Tanzania unforgettable. Thanks Malkia Trees.
